This policy applies to the Anger Out iOS and Android apps and to anger-out.com (and related pages), including contact forms and account-related flows.

It covers features such as Anger Relief tools, journaling, meditation, sleep support, Chill videos, reminders, insights, and subscriptions.

Depending on how you use Anger Out, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account details — email address, display name, and sign-in method (email, Google, or Apple).
• Profile & preferences — language, reminder times, notification settings, and categories you configure (for example journal triggers).
• Journal & mood content you create — intensity ratings, triggers, symptoms, reflections, and related insights derived from your entries.
• Anger Relief activity — which release tools you use and basic session progress needed to run the experience.
• Sleep data you enter — bedtime, wake time, quality ratings, and related habit check-ins.
• Meditation & practice progress — sessions started or completed, and preferences that help personalize your library.
• Chill activity — likes, saves, and category choices used to improve your feed experience.
• Purchase status — subscription tier and entitlement signals from Apple or Google (we do not receive your full payment card number).
• Device & technical data — app version, device type/OS, crash diagnostics, and basic performance logs needed to keep the app reliable.
• Support messages — anything you send through in-app support, email, or the website contact form.

Anger Out may process emotional content you choose to create. That content is meant for your private use inside the product — not for advertising profiles, and not for sale.

Voice Vent is designed for release in the moment. Recordings created for Voice Vent are not kept as lasting user content; the experience ends when you let it go.

Journal entries, reflections, and mood logs stay tied to your account so you can revisit patterns and insights. We do not sell journal content.

We use information to:

• Provide core features — release tools, journaling, meditation, sleep, Chill, reminders, and insights.
• Personalize your experience within Anger Out (for example, surfacing practices or patterns based on what you logged).
• Authenticate you, secure accounts, and prevent abuse or fraud.
• Process and restore subscriptions and entitlements.
• Improve reliability, fix bugs, and understand aggregate product performance.
• Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (such as the EEA/UK), we rely on: performing our contract with you; legitimate interests in running a secure, useful product; consent where we ask for it; and legal obligations where they apply.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us host infrastructure, authenticate users, deliver notifications, analyze aggregate performance, process support, or enable subscriptions — under contracts that require them to protect the data and use it only for their services to us.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with notice where required).

Paid plans are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment processing is handled by Apple or Google under their terms and privacy policies. We receive subscription status and related entitlement information so we can unlock features — not your full card details.

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements.

You may request account deletion or data deletion through the app settings (where available), at anger-out.com/delete-account for email and password accounts, or by contacting us. Some records may remain for a limited period where law or legitimate security needs require it.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use a strong unique password (or Sign in with Apple/Google), keep your devices updated, and do not share account access.

Anger Out is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You can also manage notification preferences in the app.

If information is processed in countries other than your own, we take steps designed to provide appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

Our website may use essential cookies or similar technologies needed for security, preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The mobile app itself is not a website cookie experience; it uses account and device data as described above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
